Gary Rubin has practiced construction law in New York City since 1975. He is highly attentive to clients’ needs, has strong strategic ability, and works tenaciously to resolve matters promptly and efficiently. Mr. Rubin handles a wide variety of matters including litigation in state and federal courts, arbitration, mediation, contract negotiation, and claim preservation. He is frequently appointed as an arbitrator in construction disputes.

 

A talented writer, Mr. Rubin co-authored (with Sayward “Woody” Mazur) the “Construction Litigation” chapter of Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts, and prepares the chapter’s annual updates reflecting the latest developments in New York construction law. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York; the New York State and American Bar Associations; the New York County Lawyers Association; and the Construction Industry Arbitration Panel of the American Arbitration Association.

 

He is admitted to practice in New York and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court.

 

Mr. Rubin holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
